This kit features the proven Tremec TKX 5-speed transmission, which can handle up to 600 lb-ft. of torque. Widely known as the most popular and versatile 5-speed transmission in the industry, the TKX features multiple shifter locations and dual speedometer pick ups to fit into nearly any project. The 3-rail internal shift mechanism provides a solid, stout shift throughout any gear.
This driveline package provided with everything you will need for a complete and seamless install for your pre-1986 2-piece style rear main seal SBC engine- clutch kit, flywheel, bell housing, throw out bearing, speedometer and reverse light harness and all the associated hardware.
Installation Tips
Installation note pertaining to the clutch disc and flywheel:
The clutch disc provided is a 6-spring style disc. It utilizes a smaller diameter spring than is not commonly used with a stock type or o/e type clutch disc and as such, the clutch disc included with this kit is applicable and is to be used in conjunction with the lightened flywheel that is provided as part of this kit. The flywheel provided in this kit will NOT require a different clutch disc. As such, any manufacturer note provided with the flywheel referencing a specific clutch disc requirement can be disregarded.

Return Policy
We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If within 60 days after you receive your shipment and you are not satisfied, you may return the item for a refund. Refunds will be processed (1-2) days after the item is received by Speedway. All returned merchandise must be in original factory condition with no modifications or alterations. A restocking fee up to 15% may be applied if items are not in new condition.
Returned merchandise must include all packaging materials, warranty cards, manuals, and accessories. If the items being returned need to be repackaged, there will be a repacking charge. Repack the item in a sturdy box, include a copy of your invoice and complete the form on the back of the invoice. You must ship orders back PREPAID. WE DO NOT ACCEPT COD SHIPMENTS.
All fiberglass items returned will be subject to a 15% restocking charge. No returns on electrical parts, DVDs, and books unless they are defective. Absolutely no returns on special order or closeout merchandise.
