    This is an amazing piece of work.

    I had no idea what it was when I got it but found through research that it is a “brewers yeast ring” which is a medieval design used by brewers for the preservation of yeast between brews of beer or mead.
    ·
    It’s a very intriguing piece that could also be used as a wreath, a candle ring or something else creative but it would be a great decorative item for a farmhouse kitchen, a bar or a brewery.

    It is nicely made and kind of a puzzle because I can’t find where it began or ended and whoever made it was careful to hide any evidence of glue.

    It is approx. 7 ½” outside diameter x 1 ½” tall.
