Antique German Plimhimmon Hotel
Gold Miniature Souvenir Cup & Saucer, Ocean City Maryland.  This German made hotel advertising porcelain cup & saucer is in good condition with some scuffs & scratches on the gold, and the handle has some glaze loss. No chips, cracks or repairs.  Marked in gold on the bottom of the cup: 85, Made in Germany.  The saucer has a "5" on the bottom. The saucer is 3 3/4" across, the cup measures 1 3/4" high & 2 1/4" across including the handle.  The front of the cup has a detailed black & white image of the Ocean City hotel, which is now called the Plim Plaza Hotel.   Beneath it says: Plimhimmon Hotel, Ocean City, MD.   The Plumhimmon hotel was opened in 1894 & was known as such until 1962 when it burned down during renovations. It was rebuilt in 1963 & renamed Plim Plaza, as it is known to this day.  It's a cool hotel advertising cup & saucer for any Ocean City Maryland collector.
